Muscle building occurs typically from exercise creating tiny micro injuries to the muscle, therefore replacing damaged muscle fiber with new muscle which facilitates muscle thickness and muscle hypertrophy or growth.
Muscle definition occurs from the combination of developing increased muscle while simultaneously lowering body fat giving one the ability to visually see the appearance of muscle groups.
Body sculpting is the reshaping of the body contours through removal of fatty deposits, toning of the muscles and typically increasing the amount of muscle in the area of targeted sculpting.
Toning and chiseling of the abdominal muscles revealing the wide tendon called the linea alba that runs up and down and the multiple tendons that run side to side on top of the long sheath of abdominal muscle located front of the torso.
A non-invasive butt lift is a non-surgical procedure to subtly lift and tone the butt without using butt implants, fat grafting or dermal filler injections, therefore improving the appearance, contour, and firmness of buttocks.
As we age many men and women loose muscle mass or thickness in their lower buttocks which can give a droopy appearance but can also make sitting on hard surfaces for long periods of time difficult. Correction is achieved by increasing muscle mass generally through exercise and muscle contractions.
Developing “buns of steel” is another way to describe firming and toning of the buttocks through exercise and muscle contractions that build muscle mass of the gluteus maximus, gluteus medius, and gluteus minimus which when combined give the appearance of a firm, tight butt.
Lack of exercise, aging, and deterioration of the 3 muscles which comprise the gluteal muscles cause the inability to sit or stand easily, give the appearance of a “sagging” or “pancake” butt, and often make sitting on hard surfaces painful or uncomfortable.
Core strengthening involves focus on building and firming the muscles of the abdomen, back, and pelvis typically achieved through exercises that contract or “crunch” the core muscles reducing the risk of poor posture, lower back pain, and overall body fatigue.
Abdominal fat can be visceral fat located beneath the abdominal wall surrounding the organs or the fatty layer between the abdominal wall and the skin. Reduction can occur from dieting and exercise or new non-invasive techniques such as cryolipolysis and Emsculpt.
Fat reduction which is typically performed on the sub cutaneous fat located on the outside of the abdominal wall, through newer technology that does not require surgery or liposuction.
How much does Emsculpt cost?
Emsculpt is performed in a series of 4 treatments. The average cost is $4000 for an area such as the abdomen or buttocks. Discounts may be available for purchasing multiple areas or combing treatments with other procedures such as CoolSculpting. Maintenance treatments will be available at a discount rate after the initial series of 4 have been purchased.
Does Emsculpt work with other treatments such as CoolSculpting?
Yes! CoolSculpting is FDA cleared for fat reduction and can be boosted by combining with BTL Vanquish and acoustic sound therapy. So CoolSculpting will contour and debunk the fat leaving better exposure of the abdominal muscles. Emsculpt is FDA cleared for building and defining muscle. In many cases a combination therapy will be prescribed.
Is Emsculpt uncomfortable or painful?
No! Emsculpt is actually unbelievably comfortable. It’s more of a tickle. We observe our patients giggling more than anything during the treatment. It cannot be described in words. It is an “out of body experience” that will not be dreaded for follow up treatments at all.
What is the recovery from Emsculpt?
None. The patient may feel slightly sore a day or so after the treatment similar to an intense workout, but not sore enough to slow you down from your daily activities. It’s a good sore. You know it’s working.
What are the risks associated with Emsculpt treatment?
There are no risks associated with Emsculpt except that it cannot be performed directly over or nearby metal inside the body.
When will I see results from Emsculpt?
Results can be seen in as little as a week but will continue to improve for up to 2 to 3 months.
How long do Emsculpt results last?
As with any exercise or muscle building program the increased muscle gains must be maintained. If you opt to not maintain your results through regular exercise of the treated area you can maintain with one session every 3 months.
How long does each treatment last? How many do I need?
Each session last approximately 30 minutes. A minimum of 4 treatments are required but additional treatments may be added to the package. Treatments are spaced about 3-4 days apart for optimal results. Maintenance treatments will be needed every 3 months to maintain the increased muscle. Muscle must always be maintained with muscle contractions or intense exercise.
Are there any other devices like Emsculpt on the market?
No. Emsculpt is the first device FDA cleared for increasing muscle mass and the number of muscle fibers. It is also the only device FDA cleared that utilizes HIFEM®️ (High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic) technology.
Does Emsculpt replace exercising?
Nothing should ever replace exercise and a healthy, balanced diet. Emsculpt is used as an additional tool to increase the effects of exercise and can also be used as an effective way to treat muscle groups that are not responding well to traditional exercise. It is also a great treatment for individuals who cannot exercise for particular medical reasons or for older adults needing additional help maintaining muscle mass.
How does Emsculpt compare to CoolSculpting?
CoolSculpting is a treatment to reduce pockets of unwanted fat. Emsculpt is a treatment used to build and define muscle groups while decreasing body fat.
